Asbury supports Aussies in their time of need
Sunday fundraiser at Asbury Lanes for victims of Australian fires
Asbury Park gets an Aussie moment for a good cause this Sunday afternoon, January 12, with the “Greetings from AUSbury Park” benefit at Asbury Lanes to benefit those impacted by the devastating Australian Wildfires.
Doors open at 3 pm for an “Australian Afternoon” with Australian food, games, drinks and trivia. Cost is $20 at the door or in advance. There will be live local bands and DJs. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Australian Red Cross.
“Our hearts go out to those affected by the devastating fires in Australia and we are delighted to be able to support the rescue and relief efforts with this Sunday’s fundraiser,” said David Bowd of Salt Hotels, which operates Asbury Lanes and The Asbury hotel on behalf of waterfront redeveloper iStar.
Prizes and auction items at the event include 2 tickets to the Mardi Gras celebration at The Asbury hotel, 2 tickets to various The Bowery Presents venues, Room Night at The Asbury, Salt Supply Basket, 4 tickets to Snoop Dog at the Wellmont Theater with a stay at the MC Hotel and a NYC night package.
