Shots were fired last night at a Monroe Avenue house the second time since April, according to Asbury Park Police Department Captain Anthony Salerno.
“A vehicle rode by and fired multiple shots into the home at 1210 Monroe Ave.,” Salerno said. “No one was struck. The house was obviously targeted. It wasn’t a random shooting.”
The incident took place just before midnight on Aug. 13.
The investigation is continuing and police urge anyone with information to call Detective Gabe Carrasquillo of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-775-2936.
From Aug. 9 to 13, the Asbury Park police department made the following arrests:
• On Aug. 9, a 19-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing in the 1200 block of Bond Street.
• On Aug. 9, an 18-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice in the 1200 block of Bond Street.
• On Aug. 9, a 23-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice in the 1200 block of Bond Street.

• On Aug. 10, a 29-year-old female from Mamaroneck, NY was arrested and charged with assault on Kingsley Avenue.
• On Aug. 10, a 21-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with contempt at police headquarters.
• On Aug. 10, a 30-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and manufacturing or distributing CDS in the 400 block of Sixth Avenue.
• On Aug. 10, a 19-year-old male from Oakhurst was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and manufacturing or distributing CDS at police headquarters.
• On Aug. 10, a 29-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, manufacturing or distributing CDS, and CDS distribution near a public place in the 100 block of Langford Street.
• On Aug. 10, a 34-year-old male from Long Branch was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and contempt of court at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Emory Street.
• On Aug. 11, a 68-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of weapons, and possession of weapons for unlawful purposes in the 900 block of Main Street.
• On Aug. 11, a 21-year-old male from Jersey City was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at the intersection of Second and Ocean avenues.
