The boil-water advisory in Monmouth County has now been reduced to 22 towns, according to a statement on the Monmouth County government website.
Asbury Park and Interlaken are not included in the boil-water advisory, which was put in place after three water mains [shown above] collapsed yesterday at the New Jersey American Water company’s Swimming River reservoir water treatment plant.
Allenhurst, Loch Arbour, Deal and Neptune are still covered under the boil water advisory. Ocean Township was added this morning, according to the county statement.

A county-wide ban on outdoor water use still remains in effect. In addition, residents are urged to reduce non-essential indoor water usage.
