Weekly bonfires on the Asbury Park beach are one major distinction between the city and other shore towns. Caroline Novack, a north Jerseyan who considers Asbury her second home, caught this scene on a recent spring evening.
“I just bought a vacation place in AP at the end of April,” says Novak. “I grew up north (of here) and no matter where I visit, I always tell people, nothing beats the Jersey shore. I am currently a visiting nurse in Connecticut and took up photography as a hobby about 6 years ago since I started frequenting the AP/OG area.”
Bonfires on the beach happen every Friday evening at 8PM just to the south of Convention Hall. For more information visit www.apboardwalk.com.
