Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Co Thanksgiving Tasting Returns
Pies and Cakes Featured At Two Free Public Holiday Tasting Events
Monmouth County-based scratch bakery and specialty coffee roaster Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Co will bring back its free Thanksgiving Dessert Tasting Day on Nov 4 & 5.
“This event is so much fun because we get to soak in everyone’s enjoyment of that November mood of the Thanksgiving season,” co-owner and head baker Amelia Caverly said in a written statement. “And handing out samples of all our creations to our wonderful customers is a lovely way to spend the morning.”
The tasting event launched last year shortly after Caverly and husband James opened a flagship location inside The Shops At Sunset Point, located at 1321 Memorial Drive. The couple opened their first location in Monmouth Beach. It was followed by a Fair Haven branch, and today they run kiosks in Matawan and Holmdel, and a shop in Long Branch.
This year’s event will feature their made-to-order pie and cake samplings from 10 a.m. to noon Nov 4 at Booskerdoo Fair Haven [793 River Road], and during the same time frame Nov 5 at Booskerdoo Asbury Park [1321A Memorial Drive].
The public will have the opportunity to sample and pre-order from the Booskerdoo Bakery’s full list of made-to-order traditional Thanksgiving cakes and pies.
The menu features their Classic Can-free Pumpkin Pie [made with pumpkins sourced by Sickles Market], Spiced Apple Cake, Salted Caramel Apple Crisp, and Chocolate Espresso Pecan Pie made with Booskerdoo’s organic Eastern Standard Espresso blend.
“The can-free pumpkin pie will be the best you’ve ever had; that’s a promise,” said Danielle Fekete, bakery manager. “My latest favorite is the Chocolate Espresso Pecan Pie. I can’t stop eating that one.”
Event participants can sample every item from the Booskerdoo Bakery’s 2017 Thanksgiving menu and preorder holiday desserts, available for pickup from a Booskerdoo location of their choice as late as the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. And because all their menu items are made by hand, the bakery will stop taking holiday orders once 500 items have been reached, organizers said.
