Three Jersey Shore residents are charged with weapons possession following a Wednesday evening motor vehicle stop but one suspect, considered to be dangerous, remains at large, Chief David Kelso has announced in a written news statement.

Imirrah Bouie, a 20 year old female from Asbury Park; Nailah Hines, a 19 year old female from Neptune City; Cameren Cowart, a 20 year old male from Neptune are charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and prohibited weapons possession for specific rounds and a large capacity magazine, officials said.

The charges stems from a 5:44 pm Wednesday motor vehicle stop along the 1400 block of Mattison Avenue by the department’s Street Crimes. Officers found four occupants inside the vehicle but during the course of the investigation but Aamir Morris, a 20 year old male from Brick [at right], escaped detainment after pointing gun at an officer.

While exiting the vehicle, Morris is said to have retrieved and pointed a firearm at the officer nearest to him. After a brief struggle, Morris was disarmed and the weapon was knocked to the ground. He then took flight on foot and a pursuit ensued, but he was able to elude being taken into custody.

“The officers involved in these arrests showed great bravery and professionalism removing these armed and dangerous persons from the streets of Asbury Park,” Chief Kelso said. “It is truly a great honor and privilege to work with officers of this quality. They displayed  determination and courage and put their own lives at risk to ensure the safety of the residents of the City of Asbury Park and the surrounding community.”

The weapon [at right] is a black Masterpiece Arms model M-11 9 millimeter pistol with a prohibited large capacity magazine, Department Spokesman Sg. Michael Casey said. Loaded within the magazine were 13 Luger hollow point rounds.

Complaints have been issued against Morris for unlawful possession of a weapon, prohibited weapons possess [body armor penetrating ammunition, large capacity magazine], aggravated assault, and resisting arrest.

The police department is asking anyone who is familiar with and/or may know the Morris’ whereabouts contact the Asbury Park Police at 732-774-1300.
