A suspect police sought in connection with several burglaries was taken into custody Wednesday, according to an Ocean Township Police Department news release.
Ricardo Stridiron, with a last known Township address, was arrested near 9:50 p.m., officials said. The arrest was made within hours of an announcement seeking the public’s help in locating the 56-year-old.
Stridiron was located in Ocean Grove and taken into custody by Detectives Steven Walker and Michael Legg. Detective Christopher Brady assisted in the investigation.
He was charged with burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief.
Officials said their investigation into multiple home burglaries led them to Stridiron.
Some residences were left unlocked and some sustained damage when the suspect forced entry, according to the written statement. Some of the burglary proceeds were also recovered.
Stridiron was remitted to Monmouth County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
