Business Owner Survey Aims To Identify Issues & Concerns
Chamber and City Biz Committee Join Forces to Support Local Ventures
The Asbury Park Business Committee is joining forces with the City’s Chamber of Commerce in gauging the needs of the local business community.
A short survey asks business owners a series of multiple choice questions that range from identifying their type of businesses and client base to what percentage of their employees reside in Asbury Park.
The Chamber’s Executive Director Sylvia Sylvia-Cioffi said they are looking to identify the most important issues facing the local business community.
“The Committee wanted to reach out to the business community to get their input about what they felt was important to running a successful business,” Sylvia-Cioffi said. “We can better support our members’ success by understanding what the concerns are for everyone.”

The Business Committee, an ad hoc municipal group, meets 10 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month in the City Manager’s Conference Room, located in City Hall at 1 Municipal Plaza.
Their goal is to help support strategies that assist in the establishment and sustainability of all aspects of Asbury Park commerce, Sylvia-Cioffi said.
“It’s really a wonderful and unique collaboration,” she said. “I’m not sure if there are active committees like this in other towns, but I’ve never come across one.”
