A taxicab driver was shot near the 500 block of Seventh Avenue, First Assistant Prosecutor Rick Incremona of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed today.

Police arrived on the scene at approximately 8:21 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 13, Asbury Park Police Chief Mark Kinmon said.

The victim, a 37-year-old Neptune man, is in critical yet stable condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Kinmon said. The 500 block of Seventh Avenue where the shooting occurred is between Grand Avenue and Emory Street.
