The all-volunteer Center in Asbury Park is seeking chef’s to fill open guest spots at Main Street nonprofit’s headquarters.
The Center provides support services and programs for people living with HIV/AIDS and their caregivers.
Its housing programs include a permanent home for up to 25 individuals living with HIV/AIDS; emergency placement for homeless individuals as well as rental and utility subsidies. Nutrition programs also include an emergency pantry, meals to go, frozen home-cooked offerings, and its daily lunch program. The Center also referral services, transportation needs, and educational forums.
“At this time we are low on chefs and are reaching out to individuals, families, youth groups, school clubs, churches, and temples to help us out,” organizers said via a written news statement.
Chefs would prepare meals for an average 12 to 15 residents who are served from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, officials said.
