Business owners and residents throughout the city are getting ready for Sunday’s LGBTI Pride celebration.

The event, now in its 22nd year, features a parade, rally and street festival on Sunday, June 2. Homeowners and store owners are adorning their property with rainbow flags in support of Pride Weekend, the largest of which can be seen at Johnny Mac’s near the corner of Cookman Avenue and Main Street [pictured].

The parade steps off from City Hall on Main Street at noon on Sunday, June 2. Festival grounds will be set up at Fifth and Ocean avenues. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy performances from Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge, God-Des and She, Alex Newell of “Glee,” Adam Barta, Lili Rocha, the Paper Mill Playhouse show choir, CeeMour Cox and Drag Wars and more.

There will be more than 100 vendors at the festival, as well as an AIDS memorial quilt, boardwalk games, a family zone and a food court.
