Conover & Berkshire Hathaway Join Forces
Two Asbury Park Real Estate Agencies Will Merge Monday, Creating An Over $125 million Venture
Two well known Asbury Park-based real estate offices will join forces Monday.
The John C. Conover Agency [located at 200 Main St at the corner of Cookman Avenue] and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Signature Properties [formerly Vail Realty, located at 701 Mattison Ave at the corner of Bond Street] have announced a merger agreement that will result in an over $125 million Jersey Shore real estate venture.
The new entity will be co-owned by Travis and Anthony Newarski of the John C. Conover Agency, and Bret Violette of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Signature Properties [all shown in featured photo].
“This is a decisive move that accelerates our strategy and positions us to win by offering even greater value to our customers and partners,” said Newarski, who will serve as the broker-of-record for the new venture. “In addition to the clear strategic benefits of combining two highly complementary organizations, we will create substantial value to buyers and sellers alike through significant industry presence, deep roots in our communities, and innovative marketing. At a particularly exciting time for local real estate, this merger combines our offices’ strengths to shape Shore real estate for years to come.”
Conover Property Management, while maintaining its independence, will be housed under the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Signature Properties umbrella.
“Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Signature Properties is the ideal partner for the John C. Conover Agency,” Anthony Newarski said. “Buying into this franchise allows us to intensify and strengthen our ability to serve our local market, while still retaining the community-centered business model that has kept the John C. Conover Agency at the forefront of the Jersey Shore real estate market for the last 112 years. I look forward to our future together as a combined institution and to the substantial impact our agency will have on the Jersey Shore.”
The merged entity will be headquartered in the John C. Conover Agency office, located at 200 Main Street in Asbury Park along with Conover Property Management, which will continue to be autonomous from the real estate arm of the business.
“Clearly, the potential of this combination is limitless,” Violette said. “The John C. Conover Agency has been a real estate leader in the greater Asbury Park market for over a century, and we have long been impressed by their deep local knowledge and marketing presence and skill in the community. We’re helped by the fact that both companies have been pursuing similar organizational structures and sales strategies, and there is immense talent resident in both organizations. We are committed to achieving the synergies we have identified while maintaining our competitive position and momentum in the marketplace.”
