Convention Hall to Host Soul Revue & Dance Party
Remember Jones headlines One Night Only showcase
He’s sold out at venues across the city and state, and local front man Remember Jones now headlines a Soul Revue & Dance Party event at Convention Hall.
Tickets are now on sale for this May 14 music and dance extravaganza, organizers announced Wednesday afternoon.
“Convention Hall will be transformed into a sensational soul-centric venue celebrating the golden era of Soul Music from the early 1960’s to the early 1970’s,” organizers said in a written statement.
Concertgoers can expect to hear the the decade’s favorites and Motown standards in showcase that brings together the best artists of that time with new renditions and arrangements from Anthony D’Amato aka Remember Jones and a host of featured performers.

Live for Music calls Remember Jones a “fiercely passionate front man” and “one for the ages” and NJ Arts has called him “New Jersey’s most ambitious song interpreter.”
The showcase comes on the heels of his debut original album “Ladies and Gentlemen, Remember Jones!” The album, funded through over $18,000 through crowd-sourced donations, is a live orchestra-backed recording of his March 4 performance the historic Strand Theater in Lakewood.
The album features writing contributions and performances from local musicians, many of who whom will also appear at the live show at Convention Hall, organizers said.
Guest performers include Arlan Feiles, Rick Barry, Bone & Marrow, The Shady Street Show Band, Mad Feather Group, Brielle Von Hugel, Nik Greeley, Emily Grove, Chris Rockwell, The Barefoot Strings, Cody McCorry, 4th Avenue Choir, and others.
Tickets, $15, are available via Eventbrite.com or $18 at the door, which open at 8 p.m. Convention Hall is located at 1300 Ocean Avenue, along Asbury Park’s boardwalk. Tickets are expected to sell out, organizers said.
