Cowerks, Asbury Park’s technology hub, has announced a partnership with Microsoft to deliver a series of events geared to the local entrepreneurial and software developer communities.

Over the coming months, Microsoft will lead classes and workshops and host open office hours and other events with the goal of providing support for area start-ups, design and developer shops, and marketing agencies.

“This is a great day for technology and entrepreneurship at the Jersey Shore,” said Cowerks co-founder Bret Morgan. “When a company like Microsoft offers to come in to lend their resources, you can only consider that a big win for everyone.”

The first of these workshops will revolve around the topic of developing mobile applications for iPhone, Android, and Windows devices. It will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Cowerks, located on the 3rd floor of the Lakehouse Building at 619 Lake Ave.

Admission is $39 per class or $59 for the day. Preregistration is required and can be completed at http://cowerks.eventbrite.com.

For additional information visit Cowerks’ classroom and workshop website or visit the Jersey Shore Tech meetup page.
