Cowerks shared meeting space will host two business marketing-oriented workshops in September and October, according to a company news release.

Grow Your Business Online: An Interactive Course on Search Engine Optimization [SEO]
This 4-week course beginning Tues., Sept. 16., will directly examine the online presence of each registrant’s individual business and teach them how to increase traffic and convert leads through both traditional coursework and an interactive, direct, and small group [maximum 10 per class] consultation with digital marketing expert Mike Forgie.
Forgie has 12 years of marketing experience working with a wide range of companies including event promoters, record agencies, and talent managers, and formerly with one of the state’s top digital marketing firms. He is now head of SEO at M Studio, an Asbury Park-based marketing and branding company, and runs his own digital marketing consulting group.
Classes run Tuesdays beginning Sept. 16 through Oct. 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cowerks. Admission for the course is $150 and requires registration at http://cowerks.eventbrite.com.
Successful Email Marketing with MailChimp
This two-week session begins Tuesday, Oct. 14. It provides an in-depth discussion of the key concepts of email marketing. In the first session participants will setup, plan, and design their email marketing strategies. In the second session, instructor Sean T. Walsh of Crowd Communications Group will review each individual campaign’s reports and performance and discuss how to further refine the plan moving forward.
Walsh co-founded Crowd Communications Group in 2012 to help organizations improve their digital strategies and grow their online communities. Prior to starting Crowd Communications Group, he was responsible for email marketing and digital communications for two medical education organizations. In his roles at these companies, Sean oversaw the marketing and delivery of hundreds of courses and managed complex email marketing strategies for various brands. He consults on email marketing strategy and develops custom web solutions using the Drupal and WordPress content management systems.
Following this course, attendees will be empowered with the tools and tips necessary to implement or improve their email marketing strategies.
The class runs consecutive Tuesdays on Oct. 14 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Cowerks. Advance admission is $70 and requires registration at http://cowerks.eventbrite.com.
All classes will be held at Cowerks, located on the third floor of the Lakehouse building at 619 Lake Ave.
