Deal PD Arrests Include Drug Possession & Underage Drinking
Heroin, Crack Cocaine, & Marijuana Possession And/Or Distribution Charges Filed
Motor Vehicle Stops Lead To Drug Possession Arrests
• A Middletown woman was charged early Monday morning with heroin and crack cocaine possession following a routine motor vehicle stop, Deal Police Department officials said.
Sara Conners, 22, of Middletown is charged with two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances, three counts of drug paraphernalia possession and possession of hypodermic needles, officials said.
Connors, who was observed commiting a motor vehicle violation near 12:10 a.m. on Edgemont Drive in Loch Arbour, was subsequently stopped along Ocean Avenue in Deal, officials said.
In accordance with bail reform guidelines, Connors was remanded to Monmouth County Jail, pending a future court date. Ptl Nick Dowling, Ptl Chris Mirrione and Ptl Miguel Medina investigated.
• A Red Bank Man, 49, faces heroin and crack cocaine possession charges following a Sunday evening motor vehicle stop, Deal Police Department announced.
James Militello was charged with two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances and failure to turn over the drugs to law enforcement, officials said.
Militello was observed near 7:40 p.m. Sunday commiting a motor vehicle violation along Grassmere Avenue in Interlaken, officials said. He was subsequently stopped along Monmouth Road in Ocean Township.
In accordance with bail reform guidelines, Militello was remanded Monmouth County Jail pending a future court date. Ptl Dan Lokerson and K-9 Atok, Ptl Nick Dowling, Ptl Chris Mirrione, and Ptl Miguel Medina investigated.
• And on Jan. 15, a routine motor vehicle stop led to the intent to distribute drug arrest of two people.
Stamoutsos Gerasimos, 21 of Brick was charged with cocaine and marijuana possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to inspect, and an obstructed windshield. Mallory Williams, 20 of Marlton was charged with cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession, officials said.
Officials said the accused’s motor vehicle was observed committing a violation near 3:30 p.m. along Ocean Avenue in Deal. They were subsequently stopped along the roadway in Long Branch.
Both were released, pending a future court date. Sgt James Ammaturo, Ptl Dan Lokerson and K-9 Atok, Ptl Miguel Medina, and Ptl Zac Bell investigated.
Six Monmouth University Students Arrested In Connection With Off-Campus Brawl
• Six Monmouth University students were arrested in connection to a reported fight involving 50 people along Neptune Avenue Wednesday.
Matthew Sheldon, 20 of Monroe, NY; Eric Easterly, 20 of Petersburg; Tyler Madonia, 20 of Ramsey; Timothy McCahery, 21 of Robbinsville; Peter Minsavage, 20 of Hillsborough, and Andrew Studna, 21 of Raritan are all charged with assault, maintaining a nuisance, serving/making alcohol to underage persons; and criminal mischief.
Upon arrival near 12:30 a.m., police officers observed numerous people fleeing the Neptune Avenue home, officials said. Deal First Aid was called to assist two people in need of medical attention but both ultimately refused assistance.
Officials said underage students were consuming alcohol inside the home prior to fight, which resulted in broken windows in the home, a broken mailbox, and damage to three vehicles.
The six were released pending a future court date, officials said. Sgt James Ammaturo, Ptl Nick Dowling and Ptl Chris Mirrione investigated.
