A Neptune City woman was arrested Tuesday evening after police found her in Asbury Park.

Christine Howland, 44, was charged with shoplifting, being a defiant trespasser, and possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Officials said Det Michael Legg and Sgt Greg Tongring located Howland, who was the accused in a previous shoplifting investigation, near 4:57 p.m. in the neighboring city.

While Howland was taken into custody without incident, she was in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Howland was transported to the Monmouth County Jail, pending a future court appearance.

The Ocean Township Police Department has issued the following attempt to identify advisory in hopes that the public can help them with an ongoing investigation.
