Drug report leads to six arrests
Two Asbury Park men allegedly had marijuana, ecstasy, heroin
Six Asbury Park men were arrested on Aug. 9 following an investigation into a call the police department received regarding alleged drug activity.
The Asbury Park Police Department received “a call about drug activity,” Chief Mark Kinmon said. When the police arrived on Bond Street where the suspects were reported to be, the men fled into a residence in the 1200 block, the chief said. None of the men lived at the house.
Two of the men were found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances [CDS] in “small amounts,” Kinmon said. Henry Parker was allegedly in possession of ecstasy and marijuana while Dexter Barry Dunston allegedly had heroin.
Parker, 31, and Dunston, 27, were both charged with possession of CDS. As a result of the investigation, Eddy Vilus, 19, was charged with defiant trespassing; Junior Louis, 26, was charged with obstruction of justice; Gary L. Clemons, 23, was charged with obstruction of justice and Jamir Brown, 18, was charged with obstruction of justice. All were residents of Asbury Park.
