The Monmouth County Driving While Intoxicated [DWI] Task Force will conduct a checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, Deal Police Department announced in a news release.

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday along Ocean Avenue in Deal.

Task force members and officers from the Deal Police Department will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes into the Deal Casino Beach Club parking to determine a driver’s sobriety, Task Force Coordinator Chief Michael W. Palmer of the Brielle Police Department said.
