The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday along Route 71 [Main Street] in Asbury Park.

Task force members and officers from the Asbury Park Police Department will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Municipal Complex parking lot to determine a driver’s sobriety, Palmer said.

A second check point will be held along Route 35 in Shrewsbury, Palmer said.

Along with Shrewsbury Police Department, task force members will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Shrewsbury Plaza parking lot to determine a driver’s sobriety, Palmer said.
