Easter Sunday Stabbing Victim in Stable Condition
Officials Seek Public's Help Finding Suspect
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s has confirmed that the 18-year-old victim in an Easter Sunday stabbing incident in Asbury Park remains in stable condition at an area hospital.
Spokesman Charles Webster said Asbury Park police responded near 9:50 p.m. Sunday to the area of Monroe and Prospect avenues but no victim was located at the time.
After launching an on scene investigation, the local police learned the unidentified male had arrived at the local hospital for treatment of injuries related a stabbing.
Webster said the victim underwent emergency medical treatment and is in stable condition.
A joint investigation is being conducted by the local police force and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and no arrest has been made.
