Fishing club to host second annual Deal Lake carp fishing contest
Free public contest awards prizes in four categories

The Asbury Park Fishing Club is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Carp Fishing Contest on Sunday, April 13 from 7 a.m. until noon.
The contest is free to the public with prizes awarded in four categories: $75 for largest carp, $50 for second place, $50 for most carp caught and $25 for the junior winner under 12 years of age.
Contestants can fish anywhere on Deal Lake and weigh-in the catch at the Deal Lake flume on Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park before noon.
A New Jersey fishing license is required for anyone ages 14-69.
