Grillo, Glassman and Remy win AP Board of Ed seats
Grillo in strong position to become next Board President
Two incumbents and a newcomer have won seats on the Asbury Park Board of Education by a comfortable margin, according to unofficial results from the Monmouth County Clerk.
The three top vote-getters — incumbent Giuseppe “Joe” Grillo, Wendi Glassman, and incumbent Anthony Remy — ran as a team under the slogan “Support Asbury’s Children.”
Grillo will start his third term in January, and is in a strong position to become the next Board President. Remy will start his second term in January. There are nine seats on the Board of Education.
Three years ago, Glassman and Remy ran on opposing slates, with Remy defeating Glassman, his running mate this year.
Glassman received 1,378 votes, Remy 1,374 votes and Grillo 1,364 votes.
Will Wright received 764 votes, Craig DiPaola 479 votes and Denise Nadel 352 votes.
