Ocean Township Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed a woman at knife point outside a West Park Avenue liquor store Saturday evening.
The incident occurred near 7:23 p.m. in the parking lot of Cobblestone Wine & Spirits, officials said in a written report. The female victim reported she was leaving the liquor store and had just gotten into her vehicle when the suspect brandished a knife and demanded her purse, officials said.
The suspect is described as black male, in his early 30’s, wearing a tan or gray hooded sweatshirt, with a black and white t-shirt underneath, dark pants, and a scarf covering his face, officials said.
The suspect stole the victim’s purse and fled in a green colored mini-van type vehicle, officials said.
