Easter Sunday Dinner is being planned for a party numbering in the hundreds at Langosta Lounge on the Asbury Park boardwalk.

The free community meal is aimed at alleviating the financial stress that often accompanies the holidays, restaurateur Marilyn Schlossbach has said.

“By offering people the comforts associated with Langosta Lounge, we aim to provide a family-friendly environment that gives a warm and inviting holiday experience to those who need it,” she has said.

The free buffet style meal is hosted in partnership with Pat Sherman of F.E.E.D.ing Frenz and is open to all.

Dinner will be served at 3:30 p.m. and continues through the early evening, organizers said.

Food donations in support of the event will be accepted through 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ocean Avenue venue. Most needed are hams, desserts and Easter candy, organizers said.

In addition to the Easter Community Dinner, Langosta Lounge hosts complimentary Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.

Langosta Lounge is located at 1000 Ocean Avenue in the Third Avenue pavilion. For more information about the Community Dinner, call 732-455-3275.
