For close to 20 years, the Light of Day Foundation has showcased the tri state’s most acclaimed artists in support of fighting Parkinson’s disease and its related neurodegenerative Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis [ALS] and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy [PSP].

This year, the 2018 Winterfest brings over 150 musicians to 30 venues in three New Jersey cities, New York City, and Philadelphia, with a goal of topping last year’s record breaking $555,000 raised in support of research, support and awareness.

Also held in Europe and Canada, Light of Day was born from a 1998 birthday party and fundraiser for artist manager and music industry veteran Bob Benjamin, diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1996.

The concert event gained international notoriety from Bruce Springsteen’s surprise performances at 11 shows throughout 17 years. Springsteen revealed his father suffered from Parkinson’s Disease in his Born To Run autobiography.
