Line forms for Obama tickets for Asbury address
Two hundred on line early for tickets distributed at 1:00 p.m.
About 200 people were on line this morning at 9:30 a.m. waiting for tickets to attend President Barack Obama’s address on the Asbury boardwalk on Tuesday.
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the north side of Convention Hall, according to a press release from the White House Office of the Press Secretary. The event is free and open to the public, and tickets will be limited to one per person, the release said.
The President’s address on the boardwalk is part of his visit to the Jersey Shore to view recovery progress from Hurricane Sandy. He will be joined by Governor Chris Christie, the White House press release stated.
The time of the President’s speech was not specified but entry to the event starts at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the release. The number of tickets available to the public was also not disclosed.
