Holiday Show Benefits Mercy Center of Asbury Park

Local record label Little Dickman Records and Jersey Shore music blog CoolDad Music are throwing their annual holiday party to raise food and funds for Asbury Park’s Mercy Center this weekend.
Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, the Mercy Center provides support, education, emergency and family services to those in need.
The holiday bash kicks off at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Abbot room of Porta Asbury Park on Kingsley Avenue.
The all-day event features performance by Dentist, The Black Flamingos, The Rock n Roll Hi Fives, The Jolly Daggers, Overlake, Chris Brown, Renee Maskin, and Dan Waszay.
Door prizes have been donated by several local businesses, including Big Slick Pomade Company, Phil Shepherd Photography, and Russo Music.
A $10 donation or $5 with a non-perishable food item is requested at the door.
Event organizers said, last year’s show raised nearly $1,200 and over 300 pounds of food.
Formed in the summer of 2012, Little Dickman works to bring national attention to local music by distributing limited edition vinyl releases and digital downloads. Current artists include: The Battery Electric, Black Flamingos, Dentist, Sharkmuffin, and Corrina,Corrina.
CoolDad Music blog focuses on spotlighting independent performers from the tristate area.
