Long Branch man arrested for drug possession
marijuana and cocaine found during motor vehicle stop
A 37-year-old Long Branch man was arrested for cocaine and marijuana possession following a motor vehicle stop Saturday, according to Ocean Township Police Department spokesman Det. Lt. Kevin Faller.
Faller said James Soweski was observed driving with defective tail light near the Asbury Park Circle. A motor vehicle stop initiated along Route 18 resulted in the finding of a small bag of cocaine, Faller said.
Soweski was charged was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle with drugs inside, not possessing a valid insurance card, and failing to maintain lamps on a motor vehicle by Patrolman Dean H. Schoch II.
