Madison Marquette Displays Pavilion Redesigns
Casino Breezeway Exhibit Spotlights What's To Come Along The Asbury Park Boardwalk
A hint of what is to come is now on display in the Casino breezeway on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
Against a backdrop of seasonal snapshots, boardwalk redeveloper Madison Marquette has hung an exhibit of its Fourth and Fifth Avenue Pavilion transformations, expected to be complete by summer 2018.
The two pavilions are the latest in the boardwalk redeveloper’s refurbishment of the 400,000 square foot retail and entertainment space it controls along the oceanfront.
The Fourth Avenue Pavilion is located directly across from iStar’s 1101 Ocean – the waterfront redeveloper’s ongoing 17-story high rise.
The exhibit boasts its first level 20,000-square-foot retail and restaurant design, second floor 23,000-square-foot office space, and tenant only rooftop access, with beach views. Its ground floor breezeway will offer year round street to boardwalk access, accented by the retail and restaurant offerings and all season lounge.
The pavilion redesign, by Massa Multimedia Architecture in Neptune, expands on the structure’s existing architectural brick design with added, wood, glass and iron accents. Murals are planned for the northern and southern façades.
Spokesman Adam Nelson said all tenants vacated the space on Monday, the official start of demolition.
Next door at the Fifth Avenue Pavilion, the McLoone’s Supper Club and Robinson Ale House expansion is now complete, making way for the historic outdoor bandshell redesign and ground floor retail space.
The band shell will feature 238 ADA compliant stadium seats, a dance floor and raised stage, adjacent to a new rooftop restaurant and bar offering with floor to ceiling retractable windows that lends to an open air cafe feel.
