A local man was arrested after a routine traffic stop when he was allegedly found to be in possession of a handgun and hollow-point bullets.

On Dec. 22, at approximately 1:30 p.m., police stopped Otto Lucky, 57, in the area of Comstock Street and Bangs Avenue for not stopping or yielding at a stop sign, Asbury Park Police Captain Anthony Salerno said.

The officers found and seized a 9-millimeter handgun and prohibited ammunition from Lucky’s vehicle, Salerno said. Lucky was charged with possession of a handgun, possession of hollow-point bullets and unlawfully transporting a firearm, Salreno said.

He was held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.

• An 18-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with simple assault in the 600 block of Main Street.

• A 20-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of CDS at the intersection of Summerfield and Ridge avenues.

• A 36-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

• A 38-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with terroristic threats in the 700 block of Main Street.

• A 50-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue.

• A 55-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and wandering for the purpose of procuring CDS in the 1000 block of Mattison Avenue.

• A 41-year-old female from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing or distributing CDS, and CDS distribution near school property.

• A 50-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with possession of CDS.

DEC. 29

• A 21-year-old male from Howell was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in the 900 block of Kingsley Street.

• A 54-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with simple assault in the 100 block of Borden Avenue.

• A 30-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in the 10 block of Borden Avenue.

• A 24-year-old male from Neptune was arrested and charged with possession of CDS at the intersection of Atkins Avenue and Boston Way.

• A 45-year-old male from Long Branch was arrested and charged with possession of CDS.

• A 19-year-old male from Asbury Park was arrested and charged with terroristic threats.

• A 22-year-old female from Jackson was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in the 900 block of Kingsley Street.

• A 23-year-old male from Basking Ridge was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the 1500 block of Bangs Avenue.

• A 31-year-old male from Union was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in the 900 block of Kingsley Street.
