Manzella, 33, will continue on as Transportation Manager. He’ll receive a $10,000 stipend for the Deputy City Manager’s post, Quinn said.
Manzella, an Asbury resident, is also a licensed professional planner.
“I’m excited to help out in any way I can and advance the important goals that the city council has put forward,” said Manzella, who began his work as Transportation Manager in November 2016. “I love this community and I have a passion for improving the livelihood of everyone here.”
“We’re very excited,” said Quinn about Manzella’s appointment. “We think he has a great rapport with this council and this community and we’re looking forward to his role as Deputy City Manager.
Donna Vieiro has been serving as city manager on an interim basis since December 11.
