Monmouth County DWI Checkpoint planned in Deal

Motorist will be stopped along Ocean Avenue 11 p.m Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday

The Monmouth County Driving While Intoxicated [DWI] Task Force will conduct a checkpoint in Deal to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, task force coordinator Chief Michael W. Palmer of the Brielle Police Department said.

The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday along Ocean Avenue.

Task force members and officers from the Deal Police Department will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes into Deal Casino Beach Club’s parking lot to determine a drivers’ sobriety, Palmer said.
