Six area teens face drug possession charges following a Tuesday night traffic stop, according to a written news release from the Ocean Township Police Department.

Township residents Jordan Jernigan, 18, Antonio Badillo, 18, Jasher Pena, 18, Fhelipe Magalhaes, 19, and Middletown residents Emily Valente, 18 and a 17-year-old female juvenile were charged with drug possession after law enforcement officers found multiple Xanax bars, under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The arrests stem from a 5:18 p.m. suspicious vehicle traffic stop executed by Detectives Michael Melody and Jesse Orbach inside the Twinbrook Apartment Complex, officials said.

Further investigation revealed that Jernigan, Badillo, Pena, Magalhaes, Valente and the juvenile were all in possession of the aforementioned drugs and paraphernalia.

The teens were all released on criminal summonses, pending a future court appearance. The juvenile was released to a parent, officials said.

Detectives Michael Melody, Jesse Orbach, Greg Martone, and Det Sgt Patrick Martin investigated.
