A new bar with a rock and roll theme has opened its doors on Bangs Avenue.
Called “Six Ten Bangs” — located at 610 Bangs Ave. — the bar will be operated by partners [left to right in photo] Dominic DeBruin, Louis Carlesimo, Jeff Salmon and Jay Albano. J.R. Liu [not pictured] is also a partner.
“It’s a rock and roll lounge with a cool vibe to it,” said Salmon.
The bar just recently got its mercantile license, and the partners want to “ease our way into things,” Salmon said.
“We’re just going to take our time and see what evolves,” he said.
Eventual plans call for live music and food service. For now, patrons can have a drink, relax and enjoy the touchscreen digital jukeboxes, Salmon said.
Two bars previously occupied the site — Asbury Blues and the Press Room. Six Ten Bangs is in the rear of the former Asbury Park Press building.
The bar will be open seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., Salmon said.
