New color, new coat of paint at Asbury Lanes
"We wanted to clean up the front of the building a bit."
Asbury Lanes has a new look with a new coat of white paint on its exterior.
“We wanted to clean up the front of the building a bit for the Light of Day shows coming up,” said Bob Fahey, part of the new management team at the bowling and live music venue on Fourth Avenue. “It will lighten up the look of the Lanes a little bit.”
Fahey and his brother Chris, who together own Edgar’s Pub in Manasquan, took over day-to-day management of Asbury Lanes last month. They will also become partners in the building and business along with current owners Vince Gifford and Patrick Fasano.
More changes to the exterior are still under consideration and white is not necessarily the final color, said Bob Fahey.
“None of this is set in stone,” Fahey said.
The owners are also considering putting murals on the building’s facade, he said. In addition, plans are to put the Asbury Lanes logo on the white part of the roof, which had been covered by siding that was blown off during Hurricane Sandy.
