No Injuries Reported In Residential Fire
Worker Safely Removed From Monmouth Drive Home; Investigation Launched
A worker attempting to put out a fire on the second floor of a Monmouth Drive home was safely rescued by the police and fire officials, according to a news statement from the Deal Police Department.
The fire call came in at approximately 2:45 p.m., officials said. Upon arrival, witnesses reported someone was still inside the 5 bedroom, 2.5 bath single family home. Sgt Brian Egan, Ptl Chris Mirrione and Firefighter Joe Hagerman found and safely removed the worker who was attempting to extinguish the blaze, officials said.
Ptl Jon Losquadro of the Deal Police Department and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Deal Fire Department, with mutual aid from Long Branch, Asbury Park, and Tinton Falls fire departments were able to extinguish the fire without incident or any reports of injury. The Deal and Elberon First Aid Squads also responded to the scene.
Lt Matt Sharin, Ptl Joe Ammaturo, Ptl Jon Losquadro, and Ptl Brad Kerney assisted.
