The Asbury Park Police Department made four significant drug-and-weapons-related arrests during June, some of which were the result of investigations by the department’s street crimes unit.
“Usually, these investigations are generated by our narcotics and gang unit — the street crimes unit,” Asbury Park Police Chief Mark Kinmon said.
• As a result of a months-long investigation, six Asbury Park residents were arrested at 200 Deal Lake Drive on June 20 and charged with multiple narcotics-related offenses.
On June 20, police located more than 50 grams of marijuana and crack cocaine, as well as packaging and drug paraphernalia, at 200 Deal Lake Dr., Asbury Park Police Chief Mark Kinmon said.
Police arrested Born A. Goodman, 25, Danilda L. Hernandez, 22, Tyquell D. Washington, 23, Cameron Justin Dunbar, 23, Charles Nathan Cranshaw, 25, and Daquan Edrino Brown, 23, all of Asbury Park.
All were charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance [CDS]; manufacturing, distributing and dispensing of CDS; distribution of CDS near a public place; and drug paraphernalia. Cranshaw was also charged with obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.
• On June 21, three were arrested with more than 50 grams of marijuana and crack cocaine during a routine motor vehicle stop, Kinmon said.
Tyshan Kenneth Foster, 23, of Asbury Park, was charged with possession of CDS; manufacturing, distributing or dispensing of CDS; CDS distribution near school grounds; and CDS distribution near a public place.
Tyrell Sabaar Carpenter, 23, of Neptune, was charged with possession of CDS; CDS distribution near school property; CDS distribution near a public place and manufacturing, distributing or dispensing of CDS.
Eryk Le’dell Carpenter, 29, of Asbury Park, was acharged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance; two counts of manufacturing, distributing, or dispensing of CDS; two counts of CDS distribution new school property; and two counts of CDS distribution near a public place.
The arrests were made in the 1200 block of Summerfield Avenue.
• On June 29, police executed a search warrant at 1010 Sewell Ave., which led to the arrest of Eugene R. Baity III, 30, of Asbury Park. Police found Baity, who resides at the address, to allegedly be in possession of marijuana and a revolver, Police Chief Mark Kinmon said.
Baity was charged with possession of CDS; possession of drug paraphernalia; manufacturing, distributing or dispensing of a CDS; distribution of CDS near school property; unlawful possession of weapons; and firearm possession while committing a CDS crime.
• A Neptune man was arrested after being stopped in the street on June 30 at around 12:30 a.m., the chief said. Police recovered an allegedly defaced firearm, “which usually means a serial number has been erased or removed,” Kinmon said.
The man, Casimir Cheron Spaulding, 26, was charged with obstruction of justice; resisting arrest; unlawful possession of weapons; unauthorized possession of weapons; prohibited weapons and contempt of court at the intersection of First Avenue and Main Street.
