Ocean Twp PD: burglary and heroin possession arrests
Two remanded to Monmouth County Jail in lieu of cash only bail

Burglary suspect James J. Florio II, 39, a township resident, turned himself into police headquarters Tuesday after a Monday wanted person alert was distributed via Nixle emergency alert.
Florio was charged with one count of burglary in connection to a Nov. 19 incident at a home on The Fellsway, Ocean Township Police Department spokesman Det. Lt. Kevin Faller said.
Officers Randy Slawsky and Karen Noel responded to a 6:43 a.m. call for an intruder inside the residence. Upon arrival, the subject was no longer on scene but the homeowner reported an unknown male subject entered her residence through an open garage door and walked into the kitchen area of the house.
Florio was developed as a suspect following an investigation by Detective Michael Melody.
Florio was remanded to Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $35,000 cash only bail set by Judge Louis Garippo Jr as he awaits a future court hearing.
DEC 2
A 22-year-old Jackson woman was arrested in the early morning hours Wednesday for drug possession, Ocean Township Police Department spokesman Det. Lt. Kevin Faller said.
Casey Straubinger was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe, operating a motor vehicle with drugs inside, failing to maintain lamps on a motor vehicle, and failing to maintain a lane of travel.
Straubinger was observed driving her vehicle, which had a defective license plate light, along Route 66. During a motor vehicle stop by Patrolman Dean Schoch II, she was found to be in possession of four bags of heroin and a hypodermic syringe, Faller said.
Straubinger was released on complaint summonses and is scheduled to appear at a future court hearing, Faller said.
DEC 3
A Union Beach woman was arrested on drug possession charges Wednesday, Ocean Township Police Department spokesman Det. Lt. Kevin Faller said.
Nicole Debonis, 36, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, after Officers Raheem Carter and Christopher Clune were dispatched to the Tower Motel on Route 35 for a call for service, Faller said.
During the course of their investigation, Debonis was found to have several outstanding arrest warrants and was in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Debonis was remanded to Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash only bail set by Judge Timothy McGoughran and the bail for the other outstanding arrest warrants, which totaled $26,190.00.
Ocean Township Police Det. Jesse Orbach is investigating.
