Options for last-minute Asbury Park voters
League of Women Voters explain ways to vote in addition to using U.S. Mail
This year’s election in New Jersey is unique as it’s being conducted almost completely by “vote by mail” ballots.
If you haven’t yet mailed in your ballot, and you are concerned with it being received in time if sent by U.S. Mail, you have other options, according to a news release from the League of Women Voters of Southern Monmouth County.
There is a ballot drop box maintained by the Monmouth County Board of Elections outside the Council Chambers at the Asbury Park City Hall on Main Street. Your ballot can be deposited there and it will be picked up by election officials until Election Day on Tuesday, November 3.
You may also bring your completed ballot to your polling place listed below on November 3. Poll workers will be there to receive vote by mail ballots. (Election machines will only be available for use by disabled voters.)
If you didn’t receive your ballot in the mail, lost it or filled it out incorrectly, you may go to your polling place and fill out a Provisional Ballot.
Finally, you may take your ballot personally to the Monmouth County Board of Elections office, 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold.
