Four Jersey Shore Residents Face Heroin Possession & Sale Charges
The fourth suspect in a heroin sale witnessed Thursday at a Route 35 located parking lot has been apprehended, Ocean Township Police Department announced in a written news statement.
Yasmine Sherin, 25, of Long Branch was arrested Monday and charged with heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of prescription legend drugs.
Previously arrested were Edward Burke Jr, 25, Veronica Burke, 30, Valerie A. Wulffers, 43, all of Sea Bright. The three are facing heroin possession and wandering for the purpose to obtain narcotics charges.
Officials said that the heroin transaction was witnessed Thursday by Det Michael Legg in the parking lot of the Cobblestone Village shopping plaza. A motor vehicle stop was conducted along Route 35 and 50 bags of heroin were recovered. The three Sea Bright residents were placed under arrest and they were able to identify the fourth suspect as Sherin.
A motor vehicle stop conducted close to 3:04 pm Monday led to Sherin’s arrest and seizure of an additional 137 bags of heroin and prescription drugs.
All for were released on criminal summonses, pending future court appearances.
Detectives Michael Legg, Raheem Carter, Chris Brady, Steve Walker and Det Sgt Greg Tongring investigated.
