Whether you live in Asbury Park or are patronizing the city’s vibrant downtown community, city officials are asking for your input.
During Wednesday night’s Asbury Park City Council meeting, Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn made the plea for feedback on the three parking meters vying to become the chosen pay station of choice moving forward.
The city’s public access channel APTV has put together the following video summarizing how meter users can be a part of the conversation:

In related news, the City Council unanimously voted Wednesday to create a paid position to help with fulfill the local public access channel’s demands.
Citing increased difficulty to find volunteers who can meet scheduling demands, City Manager Michael Capabianco said the post would not cost the city any additional funds. Instead, money allotted for administrative costs will be transitioned to cover a potential new employee’s part time salary, at a cost of no more than $50,000 per year.
