Three incumbent council members swept to victory in the Asbury Park municipal elections by a 70-30 percent margin.

Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn and her running mates, Councilmembers Eileen Chapman and Yvonne Clayton, prevailed over former Deputy Mayor John Loffredo, former Board of Education member Garrett Giberson and Jill Potter.

With all nine election districts in the city reporting, the unofficial vote results from the Monmouth County Clerk are as follows: Quinn 3168, Clayton 3094, Chapman 3024, Giberson 1285, Loffredo 1163 and Potter 1272.

“I’m really grateful,” said Quinn at her victory party at Parlor Gallery on Cookman Avenue. “I feel like we tried really hard, both in governing and in the campaign, and people saw that.”
