Racist sticker in Casino prompts investigation

The posting of a racist sticker in the Casino building is being investigated by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police.

The City Council issued the following statement:

“The City of Asbury Park is home to one of the most diverse communities in the State of New Jersey. As Mayor and City Council, we celebrate that diversity and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind.

On Friday 4/23/21, Asbury Park Police Department was made aware of a posting of a racist sticker in the Casino building. The case is being investigated by the APPD Detective Bureau. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and New Jersey State Police (ROIC) have also been notified about the incident.
