Rebearth art supply and lifestyle to close
Owners will continue mural business from their upstairs studio
Art supply and lifestyle store Rebearth on Bangs Avenue will close its doors on January 15.
“It’s not a sad day, it’s just a different day,” said Damian Hiller, who co-owns the store with Tim Scramowicz. “Thank you Asbury Park.”
The two also have a studio upstairs in the building, from where they will continue to operate their mural business, said Hiller, 27.
“The mural projects are just going to get bigger and better,” he said.
Until the store closes on the 15th, there will be clearance prices on merchandise, said Hiller. Cans of Belton spray paint are marked down to $7 per can. All other merchandise is 50 percent off.
Hours for the remaining days at Rebearth will vary, and Hiller suggests calling ahead. [Rebearth’s phone number is 732-361-8615]
Rebearth opened May 1, 2010. Hiller and Scramowicz have been active in the business district with other muralists and graffiti artists in various projects involving public art. Scramowicz, 28, is currently painting the large mural on the side of A&J Sneakers on Main Street [as shown in photo above].
