Report: Son of board of ed president charged with murder
Victim was found shot in head behind the wheel of a vehicle that had collided with another
The 23-year-old son of the president of the board of education has been arrested and charged with murder, according to an article today in the Asbury Park Press.
Gregory Hopson, Jr. was arrested Friday on charges related to a robbery which occurred days before the Oct. 2 shooting of 30-year-old Ryekill Agostini, who was found by police shot in the head behind the wheel of a vehicle that had collided with another, the Press reported.
After taken into custody, Hopson was charged with Agostini’s murder and weapons charges in addition to the robbery charge, with bail set at $3 million, according to the Press report.
Hopson is the son of Asbury Park School Board President Gregory Hopson, Sr., who was transported on Friday to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune due to a medical condition, the article stated.
