Rescue Ridge Hosts Remembering Mom Exhibit
Fundraiser Commemorates Eleanor Shoneman At The Collective Art Tank
Remembering Mom, a fundraising exhibit by Rescue Ridge will be held May 5 to 11 at The Collective Art Tank, located at 529 Bangs Ave in Asbury Park.
The art show commemorates Eleanor Shoneman, an artist and lifelong animal lover and volunteer, who passed away in October, organizers said in a written statement. Shoneman’s original watercolor and pastel artwork will be on display. The exhibit will feature many of her botanicals, along with antique dolls and nudes.
The non-traditional art show kicks off with a 1 to 5 Sunday opening party, featuring jazz and blues singer and guitarist Mike Barris. The suggested art donation prices start at $50, with 100 percent of all proceeds supporting the Spring Lake-based nonprofit.
Rescue Ridge is a ‘last-chance’ all-breed 501c3 animal rescue operated through the efforts and donations of volunteers. Boarding kennels and foster families across the state shelter pets most have given up on until a forever home can be found.
The Remembering Mom exhibit will run from 1 to 5 pm May 5 to 11. Private viewings can be arranged by emailing, mechele@mecheleannajewelry.com. For more about Rescue Ridge, click here.
