Ribler leads benefit for Save Asbury Waterfront group
"A Beach and Boardwalk for All" is theme of Jan. 23 event
A concert to benefit the Save Asbury’s Waterfront (SAW) group in its campaign for “A Beach and Boardwalk for All” will feature a tribute show of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young’s classics at the House of Independents in Asbury Park on Thursday, January 23 at 7pm, according to a news release from SAW.
The event’s music is being produced by Jersey shore based musician Marc Ribler, musical director and guitarist for Stevie Van Zandt’s “Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul.”
Joining Ribler onstage will be the following Jersey Shore musicians:
• Arne Wendt – Keyboards/Guitar/Vocals (Jon BonJovi and The Kings Of Suburbia)
• John Perry – Bass/Vocals (Darlene Love, Tom Principato)
• Dave Moore- Drums Vocals (Rick Danko, Poppa Chubby)
• With Special Guests Sandy Mack (Jamily), Mary McCrink, Mario Casella and others soon to be announced.
Tickets can be purchased for $30 per person in advance or at the door. There will be a cash bar available as well as a silent gift auction with interesting and rare music items.
Proceeds raised will benefit Save Asbury’s Waterfront (SAW) and partnering organization Westside Citizens United (WSCU), according to the SAW news release.
SAW’s mission is to preserve Asbury’s beach and boardwalk for all of Asbury Park’s residents and visitors. WSCU partners with other community agencies to bring positive programs to benefit westside children and seniors.
