Routine traffic stop leads to four drug arrests
Two Asbury Park residents found to be in possession of heroin
Two Asbury Park residents face drug charges after heroin was discovered in a vehicle they were riding in during a routine traffic stop near the Asbury Park traffic circle, according to a news release from Ocean Township Police.
On Dec. 4, Ocean Township Police detectives Bryan Morgan and Michael Legg pulled 27-year-old Old Bridge resident Lisa Dispenza over for failing to maintain the lane of the vehicle she was driving, police said.
During the stop, detectives saw the front seat passenger, 54-year-old Kevin Williams of Matawan, allegedly attempting to stash packets of heroin in the vehicle, according to police.
Two Asbury Park residents, Jean Trento, 48, and Nicholas Lantini, 27, were also passengers in the vehicle, police said.
An on scene investigation proved all four individuals were found to be in possession of heroin, police said. Lantini was also allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine.
Trento was charged with possession of heroin. Lantini was charged with possession of heroin and cocaine.
Williams was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine. Police say Williams is also responsible for distributing heroin and cocaine at the Tower Motel in Ocean Township.
Dispenza was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic syringes, and possession of prescription legend drugs [suboxone and xanax]. Dispenza was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
All four were released from the Ocean Township Police Department on summonses pending a court appearance, according to police.
