Sea.Hear.Now Announces 2020 Dates
Asbury Park’s music, surf & art festival will return Sept 19 & 20, 2020
Two weeks after over 35,000 gathered along the waterfront in Asbury Park for the Second Annual Sea.Hear.Now festival, organizers have solidified a 2020 date.
The sold-out music, surf and art celebration will return Sept 19 and 20, organizers have announced.
Held this year on Sept 21 and 22, the weather and surf proved accommodating for the beach and Bradley Park located event.
Concert performances by the Dave Matthews Band, The Lumineers, Dropkick Murphys, Dispatch, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Jon Jett & the Black Heart, The B-52s, Bad Religion, The Struts, and others drew packed crowds, as did the surf competitions and art exhibits.
This year, there was an uptick in art offering from famed musicians, such as the photo exhibit Dave Matthews Band members Stephan Lessard and Jeff Coffin, Luke Spiller of The Strutts delivered a handpainted a guitar, Donavon Frankenreiter submitted collage work, and Greg Graffin from Bad Religion also contributed a few photographs. In total, there were 23 muralists, a sculpture, and the magic of local muralist Porkchop.
This year’s surf lineup featured top-ranked ASP World Surfing contender Corey Lopez [a Florida native who is considered to be one of the best ‘Free Surfers’ on the planet].
